Andrew Buttsworth

Prior to joining Penten as Head of Growth, Marketing and Corporate Affairs, Andrew had a diverse career across multiple industry sectors. 

Andrew spent several years building and leading financial technology and marketplace companies. These included health, disability and insurance domains plus multiple senior roles at Westpac – notably as Head of Institutional Banking, Canberra and Group Head of Government and Industry Affairs. 

Prior to entering banking, Andrew served as an adviser and then Chief of Staff to the Australian Defence Minister. This followed 15 years in the Royal Australian Air Force as a fast-jet pilot. A graduate of the Australian Defence Force Academy, Andrew also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Australian Graduate School of Management. 

When not working, Andrew enjoys exploring Canberra or spending a day at the beach or snow with his wife, three daughters and two large dogs!
