Penten’s Kiriya Keat Wins AI Software Engineer of the Year

Penten’s Kiriya Keat was named AI Software Engineer of the Year at the 2024 Australian AI Awards gala event on 6 November.

Kiriya’s recognition at the national level highlighted both his technical brilliance and his profound impact on Penten’s AI initiatives and team culture. 

Kiriya’s leadership in innovation has set new standards across the industry, and is a big part of Penten’s reputation as a world leader in cyber defence technology. He has been instrumental in the company’s advanced AI-driven content and behaviour generation platforms, which is reshaping cyber training with unprecedented levels of realism and efficiency.  

Penten was also nominated for AI Innovator of the year in the Defence and National Security category. While we didn’t get the win, the recognition of the company’s contribution to innovation is a milestone in its mission to drive forward-thinking AI solutions for Australia’s defence sector.
